At the end of September, it’s that time again. The counterpart to Gamescom, the world’s largest trade fair for video games, will take place in Brussels. A short time later, on 07-08.10.2023, GameForce will take place in Utrecht in the Netherlands. Visitors can look forward to the latest developments on the gaming market and meet like-minded people.

At the beginning of August, Europe’s biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports event will start again at the Lanxess Arena. Fans and players can once again look forward to the IEM Cologne, also known as “The Cathedral of Counter-Strike”. A total of 24 teams will participate and $1,000,000 in prize money will be made available.

At the end of August it’s that time again, the world’s largest trade fair for video games will take place in Cologne. This is the first year since 2019 that visitors are again allowed on site. However, the digital aspect remains and is once again an importarnt part of the presentations at Gamescom this year.

The Asian Games 2022 were originally scheduled to take place from September 10th to 25th, 2022. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, they have now been postponed to 23rd September to 8th October, 2023. For the first time, esports are to be included as a sport. In disciplines such as PUBG Mobile, FIFA, League of Legends and Dota 2, the esports player will compete for medals.

Dreamhack Winter will be held in Jönköping, Sweden from November 24th to 27th, 2022. In addition to a huge LAN with more than 3000 seats, esports tournaments will also take place. For example, the professional esports teams in CS:GO will fight for a prize money of 250,000 US-dollars.

From June 9th to 12th, 2022, the event P1NG Germany will take place for the first time in Hannover. For three days, over 20,000 participants will travel to Hannover and experience the mass phenomenon of eSports live in the authentically designed eSports Arena with top games and finals.

In the heart of summer, from July 5th to 17th, the best 24 teams will once again compete against each other in Counter-Strike at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne. In addition to the prize money, they will be competing for one of the most prestigious titles of all. In addition, the teams will collect important points for the ESL Pro Tour at the IEM Cologne 2022.

On March 31st, 2022, Germany will once again be looking for the best games made in Germany! Up to €800,000 in prize money will be distributed in a total of 16 categories. So far, suggestions can still be submitted, such as the studio or the player of the year.

At the 23rd March 2022 we will host a digital press conferenct about our eSports Study 2022. Our annual eSports study is primarily about new findings on health. In the last few years, we gained a comprehensive picture of health behavior, sleep, media use and nutritional behaviors in eSports. This year’s topics are ergonomics and pain. Despite the circumstances, we are happy to present our new findings to you digitally. You can find the new results after the press conference under Research Findings (only in German availabe).
